Plasma Rich Platelet (PRP) Therapy
Introducing Plasma-Rich Platelet Therapy for Gynaecology Patients
Sexual and urogynaecological function are two incredibly important aspects of life for women. The functionality of our reproductive system positively identifies our youth and vitality. Naturally, as we age, so too do our sensations, libido, lubrication and elasticity and suppleness of the vagina. So we are very excited to introduce our Plasma Rich Platelet (PRP) therapy for sexual dysfunction in our clinic.
Sexual Dysfunction & PRP Therapy
Sexual dysfunction is related to almost anything that is causing you physical pain Dysuria . This could be:
- Painful intercourse from vaginal dryness
- A loss of libido
- Enlarged labia
- Medications that cause vaginal dryness
- Psychological stress causing tightening of the pelvic floor during intercourse
- Urinary incontinence
If you have suffered from any of the above, you’re not alone. It’s estimated that up to XX Australian women suffer one or multiple symptoms of sexual dysfunction. That’s why we are passionate about introducing a solution that works.
Platelet Rich Plasma – How Does It Work?
Like a blood test, we draw up your blood intravenously into a special tube designed to separate red blood cells from white blood cells. The tube is spun in our centrifuge – the device we use to separate the red and white cells. This is how we get the good stuff!
Think about a time when you’ve bump yourself really hard. Like when you’ve hit your shin on the side of the bed in the middle of the night. Bruising is formed by white blood cells racing to the site of obstruction to heal trauma. So, with sexual dysfunction, we are gently introducing your own PRP back into your body at the site of the uterus or vaginal wall to help stimulate cell renewal, thickening of vaginal walls and lubrication.
Sexual Arousal and Orgasm
PRP for G-Spot Augmentation
Although 90% of women report orgasm from some form of sexual stimulation, this percentage falls when reported from sexual intercourse alone. In contrast, almost 100% of men will achieve orgasm solely from sexual intercourse.
PRP for G-Spot Augmentation involves treating the clitoris, vaginal walls and vulva with platelet rich plasma to increase the formation of nerve regeneration and new blood vessels. In the case of G-Spot augmentation, there is an improved sensation and thicker vaginal walls resulting from the insertion of the PRP.
